Overview
IJCNLP-AACL 2025 invites proposals for tutorials in all areas of natural language processing, computational linguistics, and related fields of interest to our communities. We especially encourage submissions from early-career researchers to share their expertise and contribute to knowledge dissemination.
Tutorials will be held December 23, 2025 in Mumbai, India, following the main conference days. In-person format is preferred, with hybrid format allowed under special circumstances.
Important Note: At least one organizer of accepted tutorials must be present in-person in Mumbai, India.

Tutorial Format & Duration
IJCNLP-AACL adopt two tutorial formats
Half-Day Tutorial (Default)
- Duration: 3 - 4 hours
- Includes one 30-minute coffee break
- Standard format for most tutorials
Full-Day Tutorial
- Duration: 7 - 8 hours
- Two coffee breaks (1 hour total)
- Requires strong justification
Submission Guidelines
Each tutorial proposal must contain the following sections for evaluation
- Title & Abstract: Clear title and summary of topics, goals, target audience, and tutorial type
- Introduction: Explain the topic, starting point, and relevance to the community
- Target Audience: Specify expected prior knowledge, skills, and number of participants
- Outline: Detailed content breakdown with topics and time allocation
- Diversity Considerations: Address academic diversity, representation, and participation aspects
- Reading List: Required and recommended papers/books for attendees
- Presenters: Brief introduction of each presenter with expertise and experience
- Other Information: Participation estimates, special equipment needs, and other aspects
- Ethics Statement: Discuss ethical considerations related to tutorial topics
Submission Style & Portal The template and submission guidelines are available online. Use the provided template and submit through the START system.
